“After completing a 6 session KAT protocol with Vie Sante, putting into words how powerful and transformative the experience was feels almost impossible but I feel obliged to share the benefits of my experience. I won’t go into the specific details here but I will say that I’ve learned a new language and way of existing with my self and the world that will not be possible to completely articulate. However since completing this chapter, I feel more at peace, creative, loving, and content than I can remember and I want to encourage you to talk with someone at Vie Sante if you are struggling. After being referred by a co-worker, I spoke with Arleene on the phone for almost two hours and felt an overwhelming supportive 'knowing' that I was ok, and I was going to be ok. Recognizing that we all carry trauma and old wounds with us, some are more visible than others. For me, these wounds were sabotaging my life in harmful ways; through drinking and addictive behaviours, ruining relationships, burnout and compassion fatigue at work, and battling depression and anxiety with an uphill sense of futility. I had no idea what the work was going to entail but I knew I was ready. Let me start by saying that whatever you think will show up, might not, and what you don’t think will show up, probably will. The reintegration after each treatment is extremely important and beneficial because your brain is in a neuro plastic state which is the most beneficial time to process the journey and put into practice new intentions and behaviours. I gained more insight from my first reintegration session talking with Kristina than years of talk therapy combined. This is not a magic pill or a quick fix and is not for the faint of heart. It was one of if not the most difficult things I’ve ever done as it shattered years of illusions and masks that I had been wearing and creating. But on the other side of that is a journey to contentment, love, and understanding that is just beginning.
