How likely are you to recommend Texas Ketamine Specialists?
What patients say on Google
“Dr Morgan is one of the more thoughtful anesthesiologists I've been treated by, counting all the experiences I've had in outpatient procedures. He spends time to chat and genuinely listens. He works in a small group of docs, so you may see one of the other MDs giving the K therapy. With the new nurse who does the needle sets to start the treatment, the process is smooth and near painless. I've recommended this place to my family, but so far the stigma against K therapy persists. It works - google it!”
“I will share my experience so that nobody else will have to experience this place, if they heed my warning. I booked one, 1, ONE infusion over the phone. I walked in and was very confidently presented a schedule for the next 7 or so visits, which I did not ask for. I booked ONE appt. They push 6 or 7 or 8; I don't remember. I said no, that I wanted to see how the first one went. They actually scheduled these appts for me, without my consent, and put the schedule in front of me to show me the days I was to come back. Again, I said no. I went through a detailed 1 hour in-person interview with an asst psychiatrist, someone in training, I guess. Maybe this meeting is required for liability purposes, and it is the job of this person to approve the ketamine infusion based on current meds, life trauma, mental health, etc.. When I had the infusion - the nurses were very casual and not careful or caring or compassionate at all. I've had nurses who simply take my blood, or give me a vaccine act far more caring and attentive than this staff. This was my first 'psychedelic' experience so I expected more warmth, guidance. I heard the nurses and staff in the front office talking the entire time during my infusion. Loudly talking and laughing. It was disruptive to this $500+ treatment. As they say, 'set and setting' are important. In the infusion room - the art on the walls was from Walmart, maybe the couch too. Uncomfortable. If design and setting are important to you, this place offers no comfort or beauty. There is no 'after care' - nobody asking how it went, what I experienced, only a pill to help with nausea, and then sent home. I do not recommend this place. It is solely money-making and these people, the founders, are not in this business to help people, but to buy another house, or whatever they do with their disposable income. All of this experience was VERY impersonal. This ketamine experience is intense, deeply intense and the administrators of this drug must offer some sort of respect by keeping quiet in the office, and offering some amount of warmth toward patients, who might be quite desperate for some sort of help.”
“I can not speak highly enough about the entire team of wonderful people that make up Texas Ketamine Specialists. From the front desk all the way to the psychiatrist that does the approvals for treatment, to the CRNA’s that handle giving the infusions. Everybody has been nothing but caring and compassionate. Genuinely seem to enjoy having the opportunity to help people. But it isn’t just the awesome people making Texas Ketamine a positive experience. Ketamine infusions have been able to alleviate certain symptoms that no medication(s) have ever been able to do. Although expensive, it is well worth the money and then some. I would recommend them to anybody interested in trying Ketamine infusions as a solution. But only if doing so going to see these awesome people. They make the experience comfortable and the rooms feel homey, not like a sterile dr office. All around best thing I’ve done for myself regarding addressing some depression symptoms I’ve never been able to be free of for years. Absolutely grateful for Texas Ketamine Specialist.”
“I was taking infusions for trauma, depression, anxiety etc. I had a rough experience at the clinic and talked about how I don't speak with my mom to Dr. Kim during our first appointment. Dr. Kim forgot this and asked if calling my mom would help during a bad experience. In essence, Dr. Kim forgot about my trauma and asked if speaking with my abuser would help me in a stressful situation. In addition, Dr. Kim asked me to leave while I was re experiencing trauma. I was not in a safe state of mind when I was forced out of the clinic. I cannot stress how much harm going to this clinic did for me and how irresponsible making me leave was. The message this clinic sent was that A. my trauma doesn't matter and isn't worth remembering and that B the clinic really isn't concerned with the environment while also giving people a dissociative drug.”
