“It’s unfortunate that Dr. St. John receives negative reviews because of experiences some patients have had with her staff, particularly the receptionist, Susan. In a field like psychiatry, compassion, patience, and understanding are essential, and interactions with staff can greatly impact a patient’s overall experience. That said, I would not let that discourage anyone from seeing Dr. St. John. She is one of the rare doctors who truly listens to her patients, respects their preferences, and takes the time to discuss different treatment options rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I was a patient of hers since 2015, and after moving to another state, I truly miss having her as my doctor. She is compassionate, thoughtful, and an exceptional physician who deserves far more than five stars. — Vanessa Lamando”

“I am a soon to be former patient of Dr St John. While she has help me tremendously, however due to billing from her office I can not recommend. I had to change insurance and she no longer accepts my new insurance so I have still been going and paying out of pocket. Unless you go in a say "everything is fine" they charge you for a complex visit which is more expensive. When asked about it, the list for a "complex visit" is long and be considered anything. Even one time I was even charged extra for "medication management" for them to call in a prescription. And for these reasons I will no longer be a patient. After the owner responded below, I did contact the office and they were inflexible.”

“I was referred to Dr. St. John by a friend (who is also a very satisfied patient of hers) when my family moved back to this area. That was 4.5 years ago, and I have been thrilled with my care the entire time. My wait in the office is never long, yet I never feel like the doctor is rushing me to make it to the next appointment on time. That excellence in scheduling. Whenever I have tried a new therapy, Dr. St. John can always tell me the side effects and benefits the research has shown, as well as how her patients have experienced the treatment. I always feel like we are making decisions together, and she never pushes me to try something I show even a hint of doubt about. I feel completely safe and assured having her at the helm of my mental health care. I always seem to get some kind of run around at my pharmacy, but the office always takes care of it and gets me on my way. All interactions with office staff and Susan have been pleasant and efficient during my time here. I have recently worked some with Rachel, and found her to be very knowledgeable and safe in providing me with TMS treatment. I know Dr. St. John is well-known and highly sought after, but if you are able to get in with her, she is well worth the wait!”

Over the last 9 years, she has helped to manage my mental health needs and seen me through some incredibly difficult times and major life changes. She acts with a high level of professionalism and is extremely competent. Without her (as well as other practice staff members), my life would have been a lot worse.
