What patients say on Google
“I chose to work with Melanie Rosario because we come from the same region and culture, and although different hometowns, I initially expected this would support mutual understanding. From the beginning, I was very clear that my goal was to focus on my personal development as an individual rather than on family or relationship-related topics. Unfortunately, this was not reflected in my experience. After some sessions, no treatment plan had been established or even discussed and I did not feel that my concerns were being properly assessed and neither explored with appropriate depth or focus. Sessions often lacked structure and did not reflect a clear therapeutic direction. I also found several comments about my background to be inappropriate. Comments were made by her about my hometown along with assumptions that reflected negative stereotypes and generalizations about the people from that area. I was described as an “exception” due to my high level of education, multilingual background, and international experience. While this could be interpreted as a compliment, I experienced it as dismissive of the many educated, accomplished, and successful individuals from my hometown. Additionally, I was told—without any basis—that I likely now prefer listening to birds rather than gunfire since I no longer live there. I found this remark inaccurate, sarcastic, and unprofessional making it difficult to establish trust and psychological safety. When I requested a structured treatment plan—particularly in light of the qualifications and certifications presented—I was told that the treatment approach would depend on me. I was encouraged to look online for treatments that could benefit me and then, to inform her in the following session what I thought I needed. This response left me with the impression that I was expected to independently determine the type of therapy I required, rather than receiving professional guidance, assessment, and recommendations based on her expertise and experience. When I raised this concern further, I was told that I was “very intelligent” and possibly becoming bored, and it was suggested that I might have ADHD. This comment was made without any formal assessment or diagnostic process, which I found both inappropriate and concerning. And again, no proper guidance was provided. While I was able to recognize these concerns or “red flags” and chose to discontinue care, I believe that someone more vulnerable—such as a younger individual or a person with very low self-confidence—could be negatively affected by this approach, particularly in terms of self-worth and self-esteem. Overall, I did not feel respected, understood, or guided in a professional manner. I hope that, moving forward, greater care is taken to approach clients with empathy and professionalism, particularly when discussing their background, life experiences, and personal challenges. I also hope that future clients receive more structured guidance and support. I wish her the best in both her personal and professional development.”

“My wife has a wellness practice at Loving Life Today, where she works alongside therapist Melanie Rosario. Through her, I’ve heard nothing but great things about Melanie’s work. She’s a dedicated and compassionate therapist who truly connects with her clients. We referred someone to her recently, and they had a fantastic experience feeling heard, supported, and genuinely helped. It’s great to know my wife shares space with such a caring and skilled professional. Highly recommend Melanie to anyone seeking meaningful therapeutic support.”
“I can't say enough good things about Loving Life Today! From the moment you step into their office, you feel a sense of calm and coziness. The space is beautifully designed to make you feel comfortable and at ease, which is so important for me. The staff at Loving Life Today are incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. They go above and beyond to make you feel valued and understood. One of the standout features for me is their bilingual staff. As a Spanish-speaking family, it’s wonderful to have the option to communicate in our first language. It makes the experience even more accessible and personal. Overall, Loving Life Today provides an exceptional environment for therapy and counseling. I highly recommend.”
