What patients say on Google

“I almost gave up, but then I met Doc Bowen & tried Ketamine infusions. Words cannot explain how grateful I am for Ketamine therapy.... Doc Bowen was brave enough to be the Ketamine pioneer in the south east, and i have seen how effective this treatment is, first hand. I also must commend his nurse Ashley, she never misses! For anyone searching for relief from depression, I recommend Ketamine therapy wholeheartedly...and go for the infusions, they are so incredibly effective, it's worth every penny.”

“I heard about Charleston Ketamine Center through a close friend and became very interested in it after seeing her progress. I have been treated for PTSD depression and anxiety most of my life without really feeling any difference, until I met this team. The entire staff are comforting and knowledgeable. One of my biggest fears is an IV and they are so patient with me and the most skilled at administering and removing them that I’ve experienced in my life. The medicine itself is a lifesaver. Before ketamine I was catatonic and my depressive thoughts didn’t feel like mine. I find myself being less reactive to external situations and giving myself much more grace and love. Very grateful to Dr Bowen and his staff of angels.”

“I came to CKC seeking relief for chronic migraines after trialing just about every type of preventative medication available over the past several years. Based upon Dr. Bowen's guidance, I began with 3 consecutive long treatments and then underwent monthly 2-hour infusions over the past year. After researching and speaking with a variety of healthcare professionals, I recognize that the use of ketamine as a migraine treatment is still very much in a trial phase. Some individuals report a life-changing difference and others unfortunately do not experience improvement. Though there was a period of time when I felt the treatment was reducing my migraine frequency, I now believe the reduction I briefly experienced was due to other miscellaneous factors. That said, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the CKC staff and facility and believe the care and service provided there deserve 5+ stars. After years of both working within the healthcare field myself, and attempting to navigate my own challenging health issues, I can testify that this is one of, if not the, most caring and patient-focused facility I have visited. With no personal history of trialing similar substances, I was extremely nervous to initiate ketamine infusions. However, I was quickly put at ease. The facility is set up to be as comfortable and warm as possible, and the entire staff is caring, compassionate and helpful. It often felt to me like I was receiving a warm hug when I walked into the lobby and was greeted by the staff. They each worked to make my experiences as pleasant as possible in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, my body is very sensitive to medications which resulted in me typically feeling very unwell for the remainder of the day after treatments. However, this certainly was not due to lack of effort on the staff's part. Becki is a wonderful listener and well educated. She consistently attempted to problem solve the issues I experienced (moderate nausea and additional migraines post treatments), which often felt like a game of whack-a-mole due to the sensitivity of my system. Though the infusions are definitely a different experience and were challenging for me personally, I came to look forward to my visits with the staff and they felt like family. I am still in the trial period of being off infusions and wouldn't hesitate to return if I eventually conclude that the treatments improve my condition. I will always be grateful for the level and consistency of care I received at CKC and would 100% recommend this facility to others for the variety of conditions it helps to treat.”

“PRO'S Life changing. That's all I can say. If you hurt all the time and have knife like or ice pick like stabs of pain, bursitis, arthritis, disc disintegration, bulging disc, pinched nerves or basically most hard core pain??? This can help. The doctor and staff are awesome. They know how you're hurting and their treatments work. I went from walking on a cane, no...shuffling on a cain to playing the piano in a wedding in a month. Seriously. Cons: cost. 1. It's a little hard on the pocket book but the relief allows me to work on other income streams where I couldn’t before. So, there's that. 2. Length of relief. My experience on my 1st infusion was amazing. I had a couple literally pain-free days yall. And lots of days where I was the old Rocky before the pain became life killing. I could do chores, walk, stretch, play the piano and MOVE. We must move to heal....for about a month, with the last week before my 2nd infusion being increasing difficult and lots of pain returned) BUT....thats My experience based on what I could afford. Hear this: If you get 3 or 4 of these infusions in a row you can look for a 3 month period of relief. Maybe more but at least that. So we're trying everything we can to raise enough to fund a 4 in a row treatment before beginning our slow travel Europe adventure in June. (I'd never be able to do this adventure were it not for these infusions.) Anyway...It's amazing relief after decades of suffering and hopefully the price will go down as it becomes more mainstream...or at least I hope so. If insurance covered it that'd be amazing but...not yet. Bottom line: Dr. Bowen and his family based staff are awesome. They care and it shows. That's my take. Be well yall. Much love Rocky”
