At Rainfall Medicine, we understand the widespread impact of stress, trauma, and mental health issues on society. In our modern world, many are burdened with depression, anxiety, and a sense of disconnection, often leading to various forms of self-medication and a societal stigma surrounding mental illness. This not only affects individuals but also our communities and relationships, creating a cycle of disconnection and unresolved potential. Our mission is to transform the way mental illness, trauma, and addiction are perceived and treated.
Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Rainfall Medicine serves the communities of Portland, Hood River, and Vancouver. We extend our innovative mental health services to these areas, recognizing the need for comprehensive and compassionate care. Our presence in these locations allows us to reach a diverse group of individuals seeking support and understanding in their mental health journeys.
At Rainfall Medicine, we offer a unique blend of conventional medicine and mind-body healing modalities, focusing on understanding the roots of suffering and guiding patients through their healing journey. Our approach includes Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy among other treatments, fostering deeper connections between patients and therapists. This method facilitates personal growth and a deeper understanding of oneself, challenging the traditional views of mental health pathologies. We believe in the power of community and compassion in overcoming mental health challenges, and we are committed to helping our patients in Portland, Hood River, and Vancouver thrive beyond their struggles.

How likely are you to recommend Rainfall Medicine?
“Rainfall Medicine has truly changed my life. I came here for Ketamine-assisted therapy, and while I’ve found traditional therapy helpful in the past, this treatment accelerated my healing journey 10-fold. Dr. Steve is incredible; he has a rare gift for quickly naming and validating trauma while holding a safe, compassionate space for the work to happen. You can tell he is deeply invested in his patients. I also want to mention Regine, who works effortlessly behind the scenes to make sure every detail is handled. Because of her, my time with Dr. Steve was focused entirely on my healing rather than logistics. I felt supported and safe throughout the entire process. If you are looking for a breakthrough, I cannot recommend Dr. Steve and his team enough!”
“Can't say enough good things about my experience with Rainfall Medicine and working with Dr. Steve to treat my chronic depression. To say the experience was life-changing would be an understatement. I was in a pretty dark place and very nervous going into the process. Dr. Steve went above and beyond to meet me where I was and help me to tap into my innate capacity for self-healing. I didn't know what good felt like before I started this journey. But after my first KAP session, it felt like a light turned on and I was in my body again. It gave me the energy and motivation to start doing the things I need to do to heal. The homework Dr. Steve has given me has been challenging, but it has also been profoundly rewarding. If you have an open mind, an open heart, and are willing to put in the work (or at least take the first step) this is an amazing place to get on the healing path.”
“Dr. Steve and Rainfall Medicine are doing incredible work in Portland. From my very first session, I felt heard, cared for, and inspired by what Dr. Steve offered. He is compassionate, open-hearted, and a wealth of both current and ancient wisdom. At the same time, he is devoted to fostering communal healing and I have been lucky to attend some of his community events. Working with Dr. Steve and Rainfall Medicine is a financial commitment, but well worth it. Highly recommend!”
“I attended the Rainfall Medicine retreat - Path of Sovereignty this October. Dr. Steve Rosonke and his team leaders created a safe and thorough program for everyone in attendance. I was amazed, not only with the content and delivery of the material, but also the depth of planning and presentation. They seemed to have considered everything when creating this retreat. The location, the bonding exercises, the activities, the team leads, people in support roles, the catering, everything was brilliantly planned. For me the best part was the focussed and compassionate interactions and mirroring from Steve and his three other program leaders. I've attended many similar retreats in the past and none of them came close to this experience. There was something magical that happened for me in October. I will engage with this group again. Thank you Steve.”
